telc Deutsch C1 written exam

Do your current best

This afternoon, I am taking the telc German C1 written exam again. In October, I passed the C1 spoken exam and was four points away from passing the written exam.

Last night, I spent hours chatting and laughing with a couple friends, which has left me with very low stress today. This exam is not character defining, and I will go in and do my current best. My expectation is that I will simply have to wait and see how the numbers add up. If I fail it again, I will wait another six months before retaking it so that I can have enough time to learn more vocabulary. C1 is primarily about vocabulary, and one simply needs time for that.

Update: As the written exam ended (after 3 hours and 20 minutes plus a 20-minute break), I had a positive feeling as though I passed it. The dreaded Sprachbausteine was by gut feel and who knows how my points will add up, but at least I can let this go for a while now. Results will take at least six weeks, not including time off for the holidays.
